Corporate portraits needn't be stiff

Taking corporate portraits or headshots needn't be a stiff affair. Nic approached us because she actually wanted some professional photos which looked more relaxed and contemporary than the norm. She's frequently asked to be a guest speaker at a number of conferences so it's important she projects the right image. We took a mix of formal and informal shots so that she had a good range to choose from.

She tried to warn us before the shoot that she's never any good in front of the camera. Well, we beg to differ!

  1. I have always hated having my photograph taken. I always hate the way I look in photos and always hide whenever a camera appears. This worked well as a strategy for a while, but then I was invited to speak at a number of professional conferences, and needed to have a photograph for the publicity material. Needless to say, I hated the photo. I must have complained about it a lot because my boyfriend arranged for me to have my photograph done professionally as a Christmas present. I was not confident at all that the results would be any good. How wrong I was!! I wasn't particularly looking forward to the session, but Richard was so welcoming, with tea and Jaffa cakes and a discussion on what sort of thing that I wanted, that it was easy to relax in front of the camera. I was surprised at how fun the session was, thanks in no small part to Richard's professionalism and the laid back atmosphere. The hardest part was actually choosing the photographs that I wanted - ALL of them were really good, and some of them were stupendous. I have never, ever looked so good in a photograph before, and would thoroughly recommend Richard to anyone who wants a set of professional photographs.
