I hope I look this good by my mid 70s

I couldn't resist posting a few photos I took recently of my father. I'm sure he won't mind me saying he's in his mid 70s. Devilishly good looks for a man of his mature years!

Corporate headshots

If you're at all familiar with my work you'll see I do a lot of family and child portraits but you may not be aware that I also do corporate work as well. Here's a small selection of headshots from a recent shoot with Anthony who's President of the Hallmark Group. We did some formal shots to begin with which needed to be quite straight and corporate for use in a Chinese business publication. Once we felt we had those in the bag we ended the session with a few more relaxed shots for personal use. Nothing like killing two birds with one stone!

Fashion portraits

Portrait photography doesn't have to be staid or overly formal and traditional. If you want your photos to have a bit more of an edge to them or perhaps something more fashion-orientated, we can do that too.

We recently photographed Isabelle, an aspiring actress, who wanted some standard headshots for her spotlight portfolio but also a contemporary collection of images to share with her friends and family.

We banked a few headshots in the studio and then had some fun trying out different outfits, backgrounds, lighting set ups and locations. I have to say Isabelle was a natural in front of the camera - every shot a winner!

Portraits for websites

To kick off the new year we did a portrait shoot in early Jan for Louise who needed to get some professional shots done for her new website. She's an Art Consultant so it was important to get the balance right between something contemporary and stylish whilst also making her look approachable and professional. We loved the end results and hope she does too!

Corporate portraits needn't be stiff

Taking corporate portraits or headshots needn't be a stiff affair. Nic approached us because she actually wanted some professional photos which looked more relaxed and contemporary than the norm. She's frequently asked to be a guest speaker at a number of conferences so it's important she projects the right image. We took a mix of formal and informal shots so that she had a good range to choose from.

She tried to warn us before the shoot that she's never any good in front of the camera. Well, we beg to differ!

Spotlight portfolio

If you're an actor, model, singer or some other performing artist, you're probably used to building and updating your portfolio from time to time. At Triggers, we can do impactful headshot photography for spotlight requirements or even try something more edgy and urban should you want something more stylised.

The following images are from a recent shoot for Joanna who is an up and coming opera singer. It was a shame Joanna didn't sing for us as we always like to work to music during a shoot!
