Fashion portraits

We took these photos of Daryl as part of another shoot but we liked them so much we thought we should post them here on their own. Daryl's a semi-pro basketball player but we think a modelling career in the fashion industry may be beckoning. What do you think?

Family portraits

If you're looking for an informal and contemporary set of family portraits you've come to the right place! Yes, we can do formal portraits if that's what you want but, to be honest, we think it's much more fun to keep it au naturelle! It's far less contrived and you tend to get better results as everyone feels more relaxed in front of the camera.

With this particular portrait session we tried a number of different scenarios in the comfort of their own home – we took a few on the sofa, some in the kitchen and even a few outside in front of the garden shed. Let's face it, when you've got young children to photograph you need to mix it up a bit otherwise they'll quickly lose interest and wander off somewhere just when you're about to press the trigger!

We'd like to thank Kelly for asking us to take these photos and hope the whole family enjoys them for many years to come.

Winter weddings

Whilst most couples plan to have their weddings in the summer sunshine, a surprising number these days are opting for winter weddings. Maybe it's the idea of having log fires and twinkly Christmas lights to add to the ambience. Or maybe it's because it's cheaper! Whatever the reason, at least you know it's going to be wet and windy and can plan accordingly, unlike our erratic British summers!

We photographed a couple of weddings in December. The photos below are from Sharon and Stuart's wedding at the beginning of the month. They were a fantastic couple - very warm, friendly and relaxed and a pure delight to photograph. We hope our photos of the day have captured the excitement and emotions of the day.
